Dr. Miner has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County since graduating residency in 1999. His focus has been on Emergency Medicine research over the past three decades, specializing in the fields of pain management and procedural sedation. He is also the Fellowship Program Director for the Research Fellowship and started the Research Associate Program in 2000, which mentors 70 undergraduate and medical school students every year and helps them build basic research foundational skills while helping the department gather data for all the ongoing studies.

Doug Brunette, MD

Dr. Brunette has over 30 years of experience as a clinician and an educator in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County. He has earned the Ernest Ruiz Faculty Teaching Award and is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He serves on the Board of Directors at Hennepin Health Systems, and his research interests include management of hypothermia and management of the critically ill obese patient population.

David Plummer, MD

Dr. Plummer has over 30 years of experience as a clinician and an educator in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County. He has numerous teaching awards including the Ernest Ruiz Faculty Teaching Award and the HCMC Outstanding Teaching Award, and is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasound in the ED.

Rob Reardon, MD

Rob Reardon, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Reardon completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997 and then joined the faculty at Hennepin in 1998. He is the Fellowship Program Director for the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Hennepin and is the course director for Ultrasound for Clinicians. He is also a senior editor at the ultrasound blog, HennepinUltrasound.com. Outside of ultrasound, his research interests include emergency airway management. He is the course director for the Stabilization Care Course as well as a course instructor for The Difficult Airway Course.
